The Practice Mental Health Nurses are employed by the practice to work with people experiencing mild mental health difficulties such an anxiety and depression. They offer information and support to aid recovery and can be accessed via your GP.

Attached community staff

Health Visitor
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

District nurses
Sue Rowe is the community matron and Gillian Crossley is the community nurse that works with the practice to monitor patients in their own homes who suffer from chronic disease conditions. The Community Matrons can be contacted on 01253 657526.

Community midwife
The team of midwives visit and care for the pregnant and postnatal women in their homes and give their advice and support at the antenatal clinics in the surgery. The community midwives are based at Fleetwood Hospital and can be contacted by calling 01253 306068.
